I stop by Kitanda in the U District pretty often, and I’m always impressed by how fast and consistent they are. Even when it’s busy, the staff keeps things moving and the service is smooth. They’re not super chatty, but they’re polite, quick, and get the job done right, which I actually prefer when I’m on the go. Great spot for a quick and tasty bite!

First time at this location. I almost couldn't find it, wasn't expecting it to be in a bank. The location was nice and clean inside, and the air conditioning felt amazing, as it is 93 outside. The workers were pleasant and our bowls were served quickly. All three of us got energy bowls. I will say they did my bowl amazing. Normally when I order extra peanut butter I get a little bit, but this one was peanut butter heaven. I would come back again when in the area.

Coffee tasted great - added flavors were perfectly balanced so it wasn’t too sweet and I could still taste the coffee. Also the coconut bun was the best pastry I’ve had in recent memory. And the playlist was fire. 11/10 would recommend to a friend.

Great for a quick lunch. I personally love coixinhas, which are little fried, shredded chicken things- great with some ketchup or hot sauce. The açai bowl was really tasty too!
